There's quite a history within this two-story building,
and we invite you to experience it by means of a personal
visit.
Our
collection covers a wide gamut of items including era clothing, signs
and other artifacts from Leechburg area businesses, Leechburg High
School Minetas, sports team photos, information about local industries
(Allegheny Ludlum, Schenley Distilleries), paintings, photographs,
history books, a vast collection of Leechburg Advance newspapers (on
microfilm), furniture, Leechburg postcards, and more.
You
can pick up an old Minetas yearbook, a copy of the "It's a Leechburg
Thing" cookbook, Leechburg Anniversary books, or similar items; all we
ask is that you make a small donation for such items.
Upstairs,
we have a large research library filled with interesting, rare and
exclusive documents dating back to Leechburg's earliest existence. You
can also search for information about your ancestors who were born,
lived or died in Leechburg.
So,
plan to visit the old hometown. Spend an afternoon in the David Leech
House. Learn about Leechburg, Leechburg's past, or your own family's
past. You'll be glad you did.
